  1. Sorry the post was so brief, i feel like I'm constantly doing things here. I haven't even had a chance to look around my dorm building. The dorm is ok, theres a really beautiful lounge downstair with leather couches and large windows and shelves of old books. And the rooms are pretty large, esp. since i'm living bymyself. And a lot of the kids in my program are here, so instant friends (my friend, Molly, who had lived in the other dorm with a melange of international kids had a harder time making friends since here at least we all speak eng and know were going to be taking some classes together as of now. however, we never speak french to each other, and I wish i was forced to do that). It's also really old and a little ghetto. floor tiles not so nice, and in my room there are some missing (try telling someone that in french! haha). Bed is little, and the 2 chairs i have are old rickety wooden ones, and some other kids have newer leather seats, so im jealous. But I have these beautiful large windows that overlook the court yard. Everyday I wake up and that is pretty much my fav part of the day- looking out the window.
Dinner was in the Marais section, which was once a Jewish quarter but is now more of a trendy/gay area. We ate at a restaurant called Les Philosophes.
on the plane the food was: shrimp & couscous, beef w/ gravy and mashed potatoes and vegetables, cheese and bread, brownie, rice pudding. and all the drinks you want. that was coach, imagine what business and even first class are like!!
On the boat trip down the seine we saw things like the louvre, the eiffel tower, notre dame, many bridges, etc.
ok well now i have class! talk to you soon!

You're gonna do great, it takes time to get settled and to get to know your way around. before you know, it will be home too.
